Things that make my heart go "ahhh"

What are some of your favorite recovery quotes? Or, if "recovery" doesn't apply, what are some of your favorite inspirational quotes? I will tell you a few of mine:

"He who fears being conquered is sure of defeat." ~Napoleon

"We're not interested in the possibilities of defeat." ~Queen Victoria

"Restoring what you cannot restore, healing the wound you cannot heal, fixing that which you broke but cannot fix is the very purpose of the Atonement of Christ." ~Boyd K Packer

"Christ takes the slums out of people, and then they take themselves out of the slums." ~Ezra Taft Benson

"May we be convinced that Jesus is the Christ, choose to follow Him, be changed for Him, captiained by Him, consumed in Him, and born again."
~Ezra Taft Benson

"I will not leave you comfortless; I will come unto you." ~Jesus

And my very very very favorite (so far) is this: "The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you. Don't go back to sleep." ~Rumi

  1. Thanks for the quotes! Love them!

Here are a couple of mine...:

“Sisters, I testify that when you stand in front of your Heavenly parents in those royal courts on high and look into your Heavenly Mothers eyes and behold her countenance, any question you ever had about the role of women in the Kingdom will evaporate into rich Celestial air, because at that moment you will see standing directly in front of you, your divine nature and destiny." Glen L. Pace

"I cannot comprehend God’s power, his majesty, his perfections. But I do understand something of his love, his compassion, his mercy.
There is no burden he cannot lift.
There is no heart he cannot purify and fill with joy.
There is no life he cannot cleanse and restore when one is obedient to his teachings…
He is your Father; pray to him. If your life is in disarray and you feel uncomfortable and unworthy to pray because you are not clean, don’t worry. He already knows about all of that. He is waiting for you to kneel in humility and take the first few steps. Pray for strength. Pray for others to be led to support you and guide you and lift you. Pray that the love of the Savior will pour into your heart. Pray that the miracle of the Atonement will bring forgiveness because you are willing to change. I know that those prayers will be answered, for God loves you. His Son gave his life for you. I know they will help you."

    ~Elder Richard G. Scott~
